The safest way to raise Adventurer Rank is to follow the main story until rank-related activities become available, then complete only tasks whose reward preview explicitly shows account-rank progress. Do not treat character EXP, Buddy EXP, Visage EXP, monster materials, or ordinary hunt rewards as Adventurer Rank EXP unless the game labels them that way.
There is no reliable final global-launch EXP table in the pre-launch snapshot, and no supported fixed “fastest farm” that applies to every rank. Closed-beta material used several nearby terms, including Adventurer Rank, the Adventurer’s Badge, and Fame. Launch labels may differ. Use the exact wording in your client and verify the progress indicator that changes before spending limited entries or energy.
What Adventurer Rank EXP actually means
Adventurer Rank is account-level progression, not the combat level of one Adventurer. Its practical purpose is to control broader progress: pre-launch builds tied rank or badge growth to access to more content, monsters, and higher-rank material opportunities. A rank gate therefore asks you to advance the account system, while a difficult hunt may simply require better equipment or cleaner combat.
That distinction prevents the most common waste. A character EXP activity can strengthen one Adventurer without moving account-rank progress. A Buddy EXP reward develops a companion. Visage EXP belongs to another upgrade system. Materials from a monster can help you forge or improve equipment, but collecting them is not automatically rank progress.

A Japanese pre-launch character panel. Its character level is separate from account rank; this is not an Adventurer’s Badge screen.
Use this label check before choosing an activity:
| UI label or reward type | What it is for | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Adventurer Rank, Adventurer’s Badge, or Fame | Account progression when the current client links the label to the rank display | Do not assume all three names remain interchangeable at global launch |
| Character or Adventurer EXP | Growth for an individual playable Adventurer | It does not necessarily raise account rank |
| Buddy EXP | Buddy development | It is not Adventurer Rank EXP |
| Visage EXP | Visage enhancement | It does not clear an account-rank gate |
| Monster parts and crafting materials | Weapons, armor, or other equipment needs | A material reward is not rank EXP unless the same task also lists rank progress |
| Zenny or another currency | Purchases and upgrades allowed by that currency | Currency gain alone does not prove rank progress |
When a story step says your rank is too low, open the account progression screen and note the current value or progress position. Then inspect the available task rewards. The correct activity is the one that names the same progression system. This is more reliable than choosing an activity because it is difficult, costs energy, or appears in a daily menu.
Best progression order for Adventurer Rank
The efficient route is not to grind the largest monster available. It is to unlock the relevant systems, identify the exact gate, and complete the most direct eligible tasks.
-
Advance the main story while it remains available. Closed-beta play showed that the story introduces major systems, crafting, exploration features, and progression activities. Stopping early to clear the map or repeatedly hunt one monster can leave the actual rank sources locked behind story progress.
-
Read the block message instead of guessing. A story gate, character-level warning, equipment problem, and unfinished prerequisite need different solutions. If the message names Adventurer Rank, go to the account-rank screen. If it names another requirement, rank farming may not help.
-
Open the Adventure Board and daily activity menus after they unlock. Closed-beta footage associated daily Adventure Requests and Adventure Board activities with rank progress, but the final reward values and launch rules are not established. Check the current reward preview rather than relying on a beta total.
-
Prioritize tasks that visibly award the required account progress. Compare the reward label with the label beside your rank display. If both match, the task is relevant. If the task awards only character EXP, Buddy EXP, Visage EXP, Zenny, or materials, it may still be useful, but it is not a proven solution to the rank gate.
-
Complete time-limited or resetting rank tasks before repeatable side farming. A daily task can disappear or reset, while open-world gathering and ordinary hunting may remain available. The current client should show the active timer or reset information; do not assume a universal reset hour from another region or test.
-
Claim the reward and confirm the progress changed. Some activities may separate completion from reward collection. Return to the rank screen after claiming. This check tells you whether the activity awards the progression you need and prevents a full session of farming the wrong resource.
-
Return to the story as soon as the gate opens. Story progress can reveal the next activities and systems. Continuing immediately keeps you from overfarming a rank bracket whose best sources may change after the next unlock.
This order also protects early resources. Your Fated Adventurer can use the available weapon types, so you can test playstyles before investing heavily. Gear only needs to be strong enough to clear the content in front of you. Adventurer Rank efficiency comes from unlocking and completing the right progression tasks, not from perfecting every early armor set.
How to choose the right activity
Activity names can sound similar while serving different progression layers. Use the reward panel, entry cost, and your current blocker together.
| Your current situation | Best next check | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| The main story is still open | Continue the next story objective | It introduces systems and may unlock the activities needed for later rank gates |
| The story explicitly requires Adventurer Rank | Inspect Adventure Board, daily requests, and any Fame or badge task shown in your client | These are the pre-launch systems most closely connected with account progression |
| One Adventurer is underleveled | Look for rewards explicitly labeled as character or Adventurer EXP | Raising a character solves a unit-level problem, not necessarily an account-rank gate |
| Your damage or defense is too low | Check the needed weapon, armor, and monster materials | Equipment progression can solve combat difficulty even when rank is already sufficient |
| A task costs energy or another limited entry | Confirm that its preview includes the account progress you need | A cost does not prove that the task awards Adventurer Rank EXP |
| You want to practice or need monster parts | Hunt the relevant monster or gather the required material | Open-world activity can support gear and skill without being treated as a rank farm |
| The account progress did not change after completion | Check whether the reward still needs to be claimed, then reread the reward type | Completion, collection, and account progress may be separate steps |
Pre-launch reports distinguished ordinary world hunting from activities with separate progression rewards and limited resources. That does not justify either extreme claim that every hunt costs stamina or that every useful reward is unlimited. For this page’s purpose, the important rule is narrower: spend a limited attempt on rank progression only when the current reward panel supports that decision.
The same rule applies to Fame. A beta-era description linked Fame to the Adventurer’s Badge and mentioned Fame quests. It also showed a shop shortcut called Feline Secret Treasures, but launch price, purchase currency, and limits were not established. Treat a purchase option as optional until the live client shows exactly what it costs and how much account progress it grants. There is no need to plan around an unverified paid shortcut when labeled gameplay tasks are available.
How to troubleshoot an Adventurer Rank gate
When rank progress stops, check for a mismatched progression system, an unclaimed reward, or an activity that has not been unlocked.
Confirm the gate’s exact wording
Read the blocked objective and the account screen together. “Adventurer Rank,” “Adventurer level,” and a named badge or Fame requirement are not automatically the same. If the story asks for equipment power, a quest completion, or a character level, raising account progress may not satisfy it.
Check completion and collection separately
Look through completed tasks, the Adventure Board, daily menus, and reward tabs for claim buttons or completion markers. A finished objective may not update the account until its reward is collected. After claiming, reopen the rank screen and compare the progress display.
Verify that the source is unlocked
If no activity shows the correct reward, continue any available main objective and tutorial sequence. Closed-beta builds introduced features through story progress. A missing rank source can therefore be an unlock problem rather than a need to grind random hunts.
Separate combat failure from rank failure
If you meet the rank requirement but cannot clear the next hunt, inspect your weapon, armor, and combat approach. Farm the exact materials needed for the upgrade you chose. The Fated Adventurer’s weapon flexibility helps you test a suitable style, but switching weapons does not itself award rank EXP.
Recheck version and region labels
The international release is scheduled for October 29, while the snapshot for this guide is October 28. Closed-beta, mainland China, and Garena observations cannot establish one global table, reset schedule, or reward rule. If your client uses different names or values, follow its reward preview and help text. Do not force a beta route onto a launch build.
Stop when the evidence does not match
If an activity does not name the required account progress and a test completion does not change it, do not keep repeating that activity for rank. Preserve limited entries for a confirmed purpose. This is especially important when videos or old guides quote a daily EXP total, energy allowance, or rank requirement without matching the current version.
